Who We Are
iView Data Ltd was founded in Leicester in 2002. What began as a specialist supplier of professional video hardware has grown steadily over two decades into a business that covers the full breadth of modern AV, broadcast, IP video and streaming technology — from a single USB capture device for a university lecture room to a multi-camera NDI production network for a broadcast facility.
We carry hardware from Magewell, Blackmagic Design, Elgato, Kiloview, Epiphan, BirdDog, Inogeni and YoloLiv — a range built up over two decades and supported by the same team that has been advising clients on video technology since before HD broadcast became the standard.
We are a small, focused team. Enquiries are answered by people who use and understand this equipment — not a call centre reading from a script. When you contact us with an application requirement, you get a direct, informed response.
What We Actually Do
We cover the full signal chain — from capturing video at source through to encoding, conversion, distribution and production.
Who We Work With
Our clients span a wide range of sectors. The common thread is that they need hardware that works reliably — often in applications where failure has real consequences.
Technical Support
Technical support is part of what we do, not an add-on. If you purchase hardware from us and encounter a configuration issue, an integration problem or a compatibility question, we will help you resolve it. We have hands-on experience with every product category we carry.
This is particularly relevant for clients deploying equipment in complex environments — multi-camera NDI networks, medical imaging systems, broadcast ingest infrastructure or lecture capture appliances. These are not straightforward plug-and-play installations and we understand that.
Quantity & Trade Pricing
Discounts are available for quantity orders and for AV integrators, resellers and system designers specifying hardware across multiple installations. We assess each enquiry individually — pricing reflects order size, product mix and the nature of the relationship rather than a fixed tier structure.
If you are specifying hardware for a project or tendering for a contract that includes our product categories, contact us early. We can provide formal quotations, assist with technical specifications and, where required, supply reference hardware for evaluation.
Solutions, Not Just Products
A product listing tells you what something does. What it doesn't tell you is whether it's the right choice for your specific setup — your signal chain, your software, your network infrastructure, your operator skill level.
We ask questions before making recommendations. In some cases that means pointing a client towards a less expensive option than the one they originally enquired about. We would rather do that than supply hardware that doesn't solve the actual problem.
Mission-Critical Applications
Some of the enquiries we receive involve applications where the recording or stream cannot fail — surgical procedures, public inquiry proceedings, emergency services training, live broadcast events. We take these requirements seriously and are candid about what hardware is appropriate for a given level of criticality.
This means discussing redundancy, fallback options, power and network resilience, and whether a specific product's track record suits the environment. We would rather have a longer conversation at the specification stage than a short one when something goes wrong.
Brands We Carry
We stock hardware from a carefully selected range of manufacturers — each chosen because they represent the professional standard in their category.
