Uncompressed USB capture
The AV.io HD Plus delivers uncompressed YUV video to the host PC over USB 3.0. This means the host receives the full quality of the HDMI source signal — no compression artefacts, no colour subsampling loss beyond the source itself. Compression, if needed, is handled by the host PC's software or GPU, preserving maximum flexibility in post-production and streaming workflows.

Does it require any Epiphan software?
No. The AV.io HD Plus works as a standard UVC device with any compatible software on any platform. Epiphan provides its own capture utility but it is not required — OBS Studio, Zoom, Teams and any other UVC-compatible software will detect it automatically.
