What is the Epiphan AV.io SDI Plus?
The AV.io SDI Plus converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI broadcast camera signals into a USB video stream. It is the professional alternative to a PCIe SDI capture card for workflows where USB is preferred — particularly laptop-based production, field recording, and environments where installing a PCIe card is impractical.
Like the AV.io HD Plus, it is UVC compliant, requiring no drivers on any platform, and bus powered from the USB 3.0 connection. This makes it immediately usable on any laptop or PC with a USB 3.0 port, without software deployment or IT involvement.
For broadcast camera integration
The AV.io SDI Plus is the correct choice when the source is a professional broadcast camera with SDI output rather than HDMI. SDI is the standard connection on studio cameras, ENG cameras, broadcast PTZ cameras and legacy broadcast equipment. The AV.io SDI Plus brings these signals into a USB workflow — OBS, Zoom, Teams, Adobe Premiere — without a PCIe capture card or dedicated PC hardware.

Both convert SDI to a network-deliverable format via USB or Ethernet.
