Inogeni DVIUSB
Professional HDMI and DVI-D to USB 3.0 capture device. Capture from HDMI or DVI-D sources — covers both modern and legacy digital video connections in one device.
- Accepts both HDMI and DVI-D input — one device captures from both modern HDMI cameras and legacy DVI-D graphics outputs without an adapter
- USB 3.0 output — UVC driverless, recognised immediately on Windows, macOS and Linux without driver installation
- Professional build quality — designed for permanent AV installation where DVI-D sources remain part of the infrastructure
- Compatible with legacy AV systems and modern cameras simultaneously — useful in environments where both DVI-D and HDMI sources are present
- Works with all major video conferencing, streaming and capture software as a standard UVC device
- Covers lecture theatre and corporate AV environments where DVI-D projectors, displays and computers are still in active use
What is the Inogeni DVIUSB?
The DVIUSB captures video from both HDMI and DVI-D sources to USB 3.0. DVI-D is the older digital video connection standard found on many projectors, displays, graphics cards and AV equipment that pre-dates HDMI's dominance. In environments where DVI-D infrastructure is still in use alongside modern HDMI equipment, the DVIUSB provides capture capability for both without adapters or separate devices.
Why DVI-D still matters
Many lecture theatres, corporate AV systems, medical facilities and government buildings were fitted with DVI-D-based AV infrastructure when that was the professional standard. Replacing functional DVI-D infrastructure is often impractical or unjustifiable. The DVIUSB allows these DVI-D sources to be captured for streaming, recording and video conferencing without a hardware upgrade to HDMI.

The DVIUSB is the right choice for environments where DVI-D sources need to be captured alongside HDMI sources.
Legacy Lecture Theatre Systems
Capture from DVI-D connected projector outputs or document cameras in older lecture theatre AV installations.
Corporate AV
Integrate legacy DVI-D workstations and presentation equipment into modern video conferencing workflows without hardware replacement.
AV Integration
Specify for installations where both DVI-D and HDMI sources need to be captured by a single USB device.
Medical Systems
Capture DVI-D output from medical imaging equipment that pre-dates HDMI connectivity.
Government Facilities
Maintain capture capability in government facilities with DVI-D-based AV infrastructure without full hardware replacement.
Mixed Format Production
Production environments with a mix of DVI-D and HDMI sources that need USB capture capability for both.
Can the DVIUSB accept both HDMI and DVI-D at the same time?
No — one input is active at a time. You select either the HDMI or DVI-D source. Both connectors are present on the device to accommodate either source type without an adapter.
Inogeni capture devices are UVC compliant and work with any application that accepts a webcam or capture source, including all major video conferencing, streaming and editing platforms.
