Inogeni VGA2USB3
Professional VGA, composite (CVBS) and analogue video to USB 3.0 capture device. The Inogeni solution for legacy analogue and VGA sources that need to be captured digitally.
- VGA input capture — digitise VGA analogue video from legacy computers, projectors and medical equipment to USB 3.0
- Composite (CVBS) and S-Video input — capture legacy analogue video sources including CCTV cameras, VHS and SD broadcast equipment
- Driverless UVC — recognised immediately on Windows, macOS and Linux as a standard capture device without driver installation
- Professional analogue-to-digital conversion — Inogeni signal processing quality for reliable and accurate legacy source digitisation
- USB 3.0 output — deliver captured analogue content to any UVC-compatible application on the connected PC
- The definitive solution for integrating legacy analogue and VGA sources into modern digital video workflows
What is the Inogeni VGA2USB3?
The VGA2USB3 captures VGA analogue video and composite (CVBS) / S-Video analogue sources to USB 3.0. It is the appropriate device for environments where legacy equipment — older computers and laptops with VGA outputs, CCTV systems, medical imaging devices, document cameras and legacy broadcast equipment — needs to be digitised and fed into modern video workflows.
VGA remains in active use in many educational, healthcare, government and industrial environments. The VGA2USB3 provides a clean, driverless USB capture path for these sources without requiring equipment replacement.
Composite and S-Video
Beyond VGA, the VGA2USB3 also accepts composite (CVBS) and S-Video analogue signals — covering SD broadcast cameras, legacy security cameras and video equipment from the analogue era. This makes it a versatile legacy source digitiser for AV integrators working in environments with mixed-generation infrastructure.

The VGA2USB3 is the appropriate choice for any deployment requiring capture from analogue VGA, composite or S-Video legacy sources.
Legacy Projector Capture
Capture VGA output from older laptops and presentation computers in lecture theatres or meeting rooms where VGA is still the output format.
Medical Imaging Digitisation
Capture VGA or composite output from legacy medical imaging equipment — ultrasound machines, endoscopes, fluoroscopy systems — that pre-date HDMI connectivity.
Government and Public Sector
Digitise VGA computer output in government facilities where HDMI infrastructure upgrades have not yet been completed.
AV Integration
Specify for any installation requiring legacy analogue source capture — VGA, composite or S-Video — into a modern USB workflow.
Archive and Digitisation
Convert legacy video tape and SD source content to digital via composite or S-Video for archiving and editing.
Corporate AV
Integrate older VGA-output presentation equipment into modern video conferencing or recording workflows without equipment replacement.
What analogue formats does the VGA2USB3 support?
VGA (DB-15 analogue), composite CVBS (RCA, NTSC and PAL), and S-Video (4-pin). It does not accept HDMI or DVI-D — for those formats see the Inogeni 4K2USB3 or DVIUSB.
Inogeni capture devices are UVC compliant and work with any application that accepts a webcam or capture source, including all major video conferencing, streaming and editing platforms.
