What is the YoloBox Ultra?
The YoloBox Ultra is YoloLiv's second-tier professional model, positioned between the YoloBox Pro and the flagship Extreme. It introduces 4K H.265 streaming, native vertical output and ISO recording to the YoloBox range — features not available on the Pro or Mini — while remaining compact enough for single-operator portable use.
The defining addition over the Pro is 4K H.265 encoding. H.265 (HEVC) delivers equivalent visual quality to H.264 at roughly half the bitrate — meaning 4K streams that are practical over real-world internet connections rather than requiring a very high-bandwidth connection. The Ultra produces genuinely broadcast-quality 4K streams from a single self-contained device.
Native vertical streaming
The Ultra outputs natively in 9:16 portrait orientation for TikTok Live and Instagram Live — the camera layout, graphics and overlays all adapt to vertical format from the touchscreen interface. Vertical format fills the entire smartphone screen without black bars, which dramatically improves viewer engagement on those platforms compared to a letterboxed horizontal stream.
5-network cellular bonding
The Ultra bonds up to 5 simultaneous internet connections: 4G LTE via SIM card, WiFi, Ethernet and two USB modem connections. All five combine into one reliable uplink — if any connection drops, the others immediately compensate without interrupting the stream. This makes the Ultra the reliable choice for live streaming from sports grounds, outdoor events, news scenes and any location where a single internet connection is not trustworthy.
NDI HX input support
The Ultra receives up to 3 NDI HX sources from the local network in addition to its physical HDMI and USB inputs. This means cameras that are already on an NDI production network — PTZ cameras, laptops running OBS with NDI output, Kiloview NDI encoders — appear as switchable inputs on the Ultra without additional cables or HDMI connections.

What is the difference between the Ultra and the Pro?
The Ultra adds 4K H.265 streaming (Pro is 1080p60 maximum), native vertical 9:16 streaming for TikTok and Instagram, ISO recording per input, 5-network cellular bonding (Pro has 4G+WiFi+Ethernet), one additional HDMI input (4 vs 3) and up to 6 simultaneous platforms (Pro does 3). The Ultra is the step up when 4K quality or vertical streaming are requirements.
Does the Ultra support TikTok Live?
Yes — the Ultra streams to TikTok Live directly via RTMP in portrait 9:16 orientation. The vertical streaming mode reconfigures the interface and output for portrait format. No third-party service is required.
What is ISO recording and why does it matter?
ISO recording captures each individual camera input as its own separate video file, recorded simultaneously alongside the live mixed stream. After the event, editors have complete footage from every camera angle rather than only the switched program output. This is standard in professional broadcast production and enables comprehensive post-production work.
Can the Ultra receive NDI cameras from a local network?
Yes — the Ultra receives up to 3 NDI HX sources over the local network. Any NDI-capable device on the same network — including Kiloview NDI encoders, Magewell Pro Convert devices or OBS running an NDI plugin — appears as a switchable input source on the Ultra.
