Magewell Ultra Encode AIO

All-in-one standalone hardware encoder — HDMI, SDI and analogue inputs. Any source type to SRT, RTMP, HLS and NDI. No PC required.

  • Three input formats in one device — HDMI, SDI and analogue composite inputs. Switch between any source type without changing encoder hardware
  • Standalone encoding — no PC required. Connects to any source, powers on and streams via SRT, RTMP, HLS and NDI simultaneously
  • H.264 and H.265 encoding — efficient compression across all three input formats for streaming and contribution workflows
  • Full NDI output — makes any connected source (HDMI, SDI or analogue) available as an NDI stream on the local network
  • SRT with encryption — broadcast-grade low-latency contribution for remote production from any source type
  • The most versatile standalone encoder in the Ultra Encode range — one device handles HDMI cameras, SDI cameras and legacy analogue sources

Any Source — One Encoder

The Magewell Ultra Encode AIO eliminates the need to specify different encoders for different source types. HDMI cameras, 3G-SDI broadcast cameras and analogue composite sources all connect to the same device — the active input is selected via software, and the encoder streams via SRT, RTMP, HLS and NDI simultaneously from whatever source is connected.

In mixed-format environments — venues with both HDMI and SDI cameras, facilities with legacy analogue equipment alongside modern HDMI sources, or organisations managing diverse signal types — the AIO is the single encoder that covers everything.

Multi-Format Flexibility

The software-selectable input means the Ultra Encode AIO can change between HDMI, SDI and analogue as requirements change — without any hardware reconfiguration. A venue encoder that handles an HDMI presentation computer today can handle an SDI broadcast camera tomorrow and an analogue legacy source next week.

For single-format encoders at lower cost, see the Ultra Encode HDMI (£350), Ultra Encode SDI (£359), Ultra Encode HDMI Plus (£425) or Ultra Encode SDI Plus (£419).

The Ultra Encode AIO is deployed wherever a single standalone encoder must handle multiple input formats across HDMI, SDI and analogue sources.

🏢

Mixed-Format Venue Encoding

Deploy one AIO encoder per encoding position in venues with mixed camera infrastructure — one encoder handles HDMI presentation sources, SDI cameras and legacy analogue feeds from the same position without changing hardware.

Houses of Worship AIO Encoding

Houses of worship with a mix of HDMI PTZ cameras, legacy SDI cameras and analogue equipment can encode any source to NDI and streaming platforms from a single AIO encoder without format-specific hardware.

🎓

University Multi-Format AV Encoding

Universities with diverse AV equipment across campuses — HDMI lecture systems, SDI studio cameras and legacy analogue equipment — can standardise on a single AIO encoder type for all encoding deployments.

🔄

Format Transition Encoding

Organisations transitioning from legacy analogue or SDI to HDMI can use the AIO to encode sources from multiple format generations simultaneously during the transition period — one device bridges all formats.

🎭

Events & Rental AIO Encoding

AV rental companies specifying a single encoder type for all events benefit from the AIO — one encoder handles any client source format without pre-specification of HDMI, SDI or analogue variants.

📡

Remote Production Multi-Source Encoding

Remote production setups with varied source formats use the AIO as a universal encoder — HDMI camera, SDI switcher output or analogue playback, all from one device deployed at the remote location.

🏥

Medical Multi-Format Encoding

Healthcare facilities with a mix of HDMI and SDI clinical cameras and older analogue medical equipment can encode any source to NDI and streaming from a single AIO unit per encoding position.

📺

Broadcast Archive & Legacy Encoding

Broadcast facilities encoding from legacy analogue tape alongside modern HDMI and SDI sources for archive and digitisation can use the AIO to handle all three signal types from one standalone device.

⚙️

Systems Integration Universal Encoding

Systems integrators specifying encoders for complex AV installations with multiple source formats can standardise on the Ultra Encode AIO — one SKU covers all source types in any room or position.

Can it capture HDMI and SDI simultaneously?

No — the Ultra Encode AIO captures from one input at a time (selected via software). It provides format flexibility across three signal types but not simultaneous multi-source capture. For simultaneous dual-channel encoding, a second encoder would be required.

What is the advantage over buying three separate single-format encoders?

The AIO is a single device, single management interface and single power supply. It is more cost-effective than three separate encoders and more practical for deployments where the input format varies or is not fixed at purchase time.

Does it need a PC?

No. It is fully standalone — connect source and Ethernet and it encodes without any computer.

Does it output NDI from analogue sources?

Yes. All three input types — HDMI, SDI and analogue — are output as Full NDI on the local network when that input is selected.
