Standalone Encoding — No PC Required
The Magewell Ultra Encode HDMI is a self-contained hardware encoder. Connect an HDMI source, connect to a network, and it encodes and streams without any computer, software or driver installation. This standalone architecture makes it reliable and simple to deploy in fixed installations where a dedicated encoding PC would be impractical or unnecessary.
The H.265 codec significantly reduces the bitrate required for a given quality level compared to H.264, making streams more efficient over limited bandwidth connections. Both H.264 and H.265 are supported, giving flexibility across platforms that may not yet support H.265.
SRT, RTMP, NDI and HLS Simultaneously
The Ultra Encode HDMI streams to multiple destinations and protocols simultaneously from a single HDMI source. A local NDI stream feeds the production network, SRT contributes to a broadcast facility, RTMP streams to YouTube and HLS serves an adaptive bitrate web player — all at the same time from one device.
