SDI Broadcast Cameras into NDI
The Magewell Pro Convert SDI Plus is the standard encoder for bringing 3G-SDI broadcast cameras into NDI production environments. In facilities where SDI cameras are already installed — broadcast studios, houses of worship, sports venues, university media facilities — the Pro Convert SDI Plus provides the bridge to NDI-based production without replacing the cameras.
Connect the SDI camera output to the Pro Convert SDI Plus input, connect the encoder to the Ethernet network, and the camera immediately appears as an NDI source in every NDI-capable application on the network. vMix, Wirecast, OBS with NDI plugin, NDI Studio Monitor and any NDI-capable switcher sees it as a network camera.
Protecting the SDI Camera Investment
The transition from SDI to IP production infrastructure does not require replacing SDI cameras.
