The Magewell Pro Capture SDI 4K Plus brings 12G-SDI 4K capture inside a production workstation or server via PCIe — the highest-specification single-channel SDI capture card in the Pro Capture range. It captures from 4K SDI cameras including Sony VENICE 2, Arri Alexa 35 and professional broadcast PTZ cameras at full 4K60 quality.
The PCIe DMA architecture delivers 4K SDI video directly to system memory with lower latency and more consistent frame timing than USB-based capture — the correct architecture for a dedicated 4K SDI ingest workstation in a professional broadcast environment.
Genlock for 4K Broadcast Integration
The genlock input synchronises 4K SDI capture to the facility house sync — ensuring the captured 4K frames are phase-locked to the broadcast facility reference. In a multi-camera 4K SDI facility, this is a fundamental requirement for broadcast-standard integration.
